How results are ordered: alphabetically by institution, or by most recently checked when you choose that sort. There is no price ranking, because tuition in different currencies, fee categories and bases (per year, per credit, whole program) is not comparable. Adjacent subjects such as pre-veterinary or animal science appear only when you choose a subject. A value we could not verify is shown as “not published”, never as “no”. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change accreditation information, verification or order. Online programs are not counted as physically located in a state or city, and an institution’s location does not tell you whether it enrols students from your country.
Veterinary medicine can be studied at five German institutions: LMU Munich, Giessen, Leipzig, FU Berlin and the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. The course and its structure are set nationwide by the veterinary licensing ordinance (TAppV), with a standard study time of five years and six months (eleven semesters) and a state examination.

Names and levels are local to Germany. Similar names in other countries are not interchangeable.
Accreditation, validation, education authority and registration are different roles. Do not read a listing by one body as evidence from another.
Current rules as described by the official source; always check the authority directly.
After the state examination graduates can apply for the Approbation as a veterinarian with the competent authority of the federal state where the third part of the examination was taken (in Bavaria: Regierung von Oberbayern), per the LMU faculty page. Source
No degree on this site automatically permits anyone to practise as a veterinarian, and nothing here is visa, work-permit or credit-transfer advice.
Teaching languages. The courses are taught in German; applicants with foreign qualifications must prove German proficiency (e.g. DSH-2, TestDaF level 4, Goethe C1 at Hannover). English-taught options exist only in some research programmes (e.g. the Hannover PhD programme pages are in English).
Admissions. Places are allocated through hochschulstart.de (Abiturbestenquote, university selection procedure, additional aptitude quota); the TMS test is voluntary at Hannover and counts at FU Berlin and LMU. Non-EU applicants without German qualification apply separately (Hannover: via uni-assist within a 5 percent quota). Start is in the winter semester only. Source
